How to play Mahjong.
Mahjong Solitaire is a tile matching puzzle played on stacked layouts of up to one hundred and forty-four tiles. A tile is free when nothing rests on top of it and at least one of its long sides is open; tap a free tile, then tap another free tile of the same kind and both leave the board. Flowers match any flower and seasons match any season. The level is won when the last pair is gone, and there is no way to lose: when no matchable pair remains the game tells you so and offers a shuffle.
Undo takes back the last pair for free and never costs a star. Hint lights up one playable pair and Shuffle redeals the remaining tiles into a layout that is still solvable; the first hint and the first shuffle on every level are free, later ones cost coins. Each level has a par time set by its tile count, and the server records when you started. Three stars need a clean run — no hint and no shuffle — finished under par; a run that is only clean or only fast earns two, and any finish earns one. Twelve hand-made shapes climb from a thirty-six tile mini turtle to the full one hundred and forty-four tile turtle, and every deal is generated backwards from an empty board so a solution always exists.
